Tsunami's back

It's really sad to hear that tsunami's back in Indonesia, i'm not sure which part but i think is West Java. I watched the news on Astro, they showed a video on tsunami that happened in December 2004. Sad to see how people were trying their very best to run but luck was not on their side, the tsunami was faster than them. I hope there'll be no more earthquake in Indonesia, otherwise the tragedy repeats. Let's pray and hope for the best.

Sad feelings aside, finally semester 4 is starting tomorrow! I remembered i wish this day will come faster but then now i don't really feel like going to college. It's human nature i guess, hahah! Think on the good side, i get to see my friends back..and..get to eat the food! I miss 'roti milo' so much! Semester 4 will be a very hard sem for me, especially this subject called IDTP, 3 hours lecture class man! I think those students helpers at Un-Boxed will know why, sigh~ Without realising it, it's been a year i'm in Taylor's College and i'm already in semester 4, a second year college student..and very soon,i'll be graduating with diploma certificate. But that's not the end for me, i wish to continue to get my degree certificate which will take another 2 years.

On the other hand, the Singapore Great Sale is great! I had a good time there, enjoyed myself so much. Getting to stay in a luxurious hotel for free + free meals + money to spend = happiness! I'll upload the pictures soon..ohh ya,with the 18 sx pictures of Kelly and Swee Ling..haha!You kids below 18, don't see ya..or ask your parents first...hahah!

talk non-stop

I was asking who is interested for some marketing research jobs, then can go to the interview with me but it ended up me alone. It's not an interview actually, more to like a briefing..the company's director himself briefed us..it was ok, can see he's trying to keep us entertained but then...he failed~ahah!what to do..it's so boring, imagine someone is talking about all those research thingy again??yes, the qualitative..quantitative...focus group..methodology..aiks!ohh ya, the company is Acorn Marketing&Research Consultants which is located at HP Towers, Damansara Heights. It's an international company..they have big clients eh,in Malaysia got...hm, Astro, Petronas, etc. They came up with the name such as KLCC, yes, they do branding as well. I think I'll learn alot about research thingy here which is a good thing for me because I'll be taking a subject called Communication Research&Method in this coming semester.

My first research job is pretty simple, it is the telephone interview..we'll be given a list of people with their numbers..what we have to do is call them and do the interview but it's easier said than to be done because well, Malaysians, especially the Chinese..whenever they hear about the word 'interview'..they'll be like..."ohh,nono...dowan dowan..thankiew thankiew...busy busy...byebye byebye"..but of course, as a professional interviewer like me(ahah!)we'll reply back "oh it's ok,but maybe i can call you at another time?"...well, as expected, they'll say "eer,no lah..cannot...not free...dowan lah,i'm not interested lah"..of course we won't force them already.."ohh,it's ok then...thank you very much and have a nice day"~how i wish i can say.."oi aunty/uncle, i'm good people la...you think i'll cheat you meh?!interview only mah...so susah meh??" but sadly,i cannot say that!

For the project now, the duration of the interview process will take about 15 minutes because the questions are pretty long...the director said it's one of the shortest..the longest takes about 45 minutes!Imagine the interviewer!!!talk non-stop man!!!That's why the pay is not bad..haha!it's different rate for each project..as the one i'm working right now(can't reveal what the company is but what i can say is..it's a big and well-known company in Malaysia)...i'll be paid 12 bucks for each successful interview.

Other than telephone interview, there is house-to-house interview, face-to-face interview, focus group discussion and all sort of methods. For telephone interview, it's pretty flexible, meaning you can go to the office and start calling people at anytime you wish, you can come in the morning, afternoon or even evening! But if you come earlier, the more people you will get. Hm, how good if this company is an advertising agency as well? for sure I'll apply to do my internship there!

Although it is very tiring but i had fun!

beyond my expectations?

Results for semester 3 final exams are finally out at tgen.Hm,I expected 4A's actually but it turned out to be 3A- and 1B as following:

Issues in Media Contents : A-
Intro to Computer Graphics : A-
Intro to Mass Media Writing : A-
Intro to Corporate Communication : B

Kinda dissapointed for my Corporate Communication, although i don't really like that subject but i really answered all the questions very well(i think)..but nevermind,i did my best in it. Anyway, 3A- and 1B still not bad actually, with CGPA of 3.5..not A-!aiks!Hm,I'm still satisfied with my results cause it was my toughest time when I sat for finals. She must be proud of me =)
Time flies!there gone my 1 month sem break..for me,this long sem break is boring but my friend said sem break is fun and important...depends on how you spend it le right?I think I'm going to help my cousin at his small cafe, create a new menu layouts with my photoshop and illustrator skills....haha!I can't wait to start semester 4...I'll miss college when break times and I will complaint so much when I got a lot of assignments...haha!

Dear classmates, faster go check out the 'letter of returning students semester dates' at student portal because it will give you a surprise,a shock maybe~it's about the study schedule...no more monsoon semester cause they make it from 3 semesters into 2 semesters a year..i think we won't be graduating on time unless they increase the number of subjects we have to take which is quite imposibble cause 5 subjects already make us want to kill ourselves.I don't know what's the plan...that's one of the reason why I am going to the launching of UniSA and media hub this coming Thursday.

Father's Day coming very soon..my sister planned to buy a pen,a luxurious pen...in fact, she bought! As a result,i have to dig out a large ammount of money to share...but nevermind,it's all worth it when you see your dad smiles when he sees the gift.

happy mother's day,mum

i am not expected that last year was the last time for my siblings and i to celebrate Mother's Day with my mum..on May 11,she passed away. my siblings and i planned to take her out for dinner at a luxurious restaurant that served chinese cuisine but that plan will not be accomplished.

my mum is diagnosed with pancreatic cancer(tumour at the pancreas) last June but when we discovered that,it's too late. doctors said they can't do anything. no treatment. no medicine. words cant describe how we felt that time. for my mum, it's just like the end of the day but she felt better when we comfort her. asking her to stay strong to fight againts the 'war'. since we can't do anything, we tried out the chinese medicine, from Malaysia and as far as Hong Kong(friends, that's why i went to Hong Kong on Christmas eve last year, not having fun but collect the chinese medicine)..at first, her condition is better cause the tumour didnt grow bigger but somehow she stopped having it cause she said she is getting thinner and thinner. from 60+ kg to just 30kg. it hurts me to see.

a few days before she left us, her condition is getting worse. she is in semiconcious at that time. feels very sleepy and very blur. she couldn't talk, barely open her eyes to look at us. she didn't say anything, not even a single word to us before she took her last breath. just cant describe how sad i was that time, seeing your own mother suffering and yet you can't do anything. but i know, she wants my siblings and i to love each other, take care of my father, and study hard. i will. i want to make her proud to have a son like me. and i am also very proud to have a mother like her.

i, sincerely want to say a big thank you to all my friends [ primary school friends, secondary school friends, college friends, tuition friends, interact club's friends, st.john ambulance's friends (you know who you are) ] for giving me support. and some who visited me. thank you once again. not forgetting my family members and relatives. i will study hard to get excellent results and stay strong. i promise.

someone told me it's better to let her go than seeing her suffering. i agree on that. i can't be so selfish. i hope my mum is happy now at that 'place'. without pain. without sorrow. just the happy moments. mummy, happy belated mother's day. i love you!
