seeing double

Let's talk about the lifestyle in Adelaide. I kind of like the Aussie lifestyle because people here are very much educated (by educated I mean civilised) and everything here just seems well-organised. I especially like Adelaide because the government here is going to ban the usage of plastic bags! Thumbs up! I'm seriously amazed by the people here cause they'll use their own bags when they shop for groceries. How I wish Malaysians can do the same thing?

The living expenses in Adelaide is lower compared to KL. Owning a car is so easy cause the cars here are so cheap eventhough Australia produced their own cars called Holden (I think). A Toyota Yaris costs about 16,000 AUD, in Malaysia is like RM 90,000++. Ohh, I saw Proton cars too. What a surprise! Hehe.

If only I work harder to earn money, I can afford to buy many things. Planne to apply some jobs but damn, I'm so lazy to work!

life after 5ive

Somehow getting used to the lifestyle here where I can't really hang out after 5pm because most of the shops close at 5pm (even during the weekends). I miss Pavilion KL. I miss mamak stalls. I miss my yum-cha sessions late at night. During summer time, there's this daylight saving time (or something like that). Basically it means the daylight is longer than night time, hence although it is 8 at night the sky is still as bright as 6pm but during winter season, the night time is longer. My friends told me the sky is dark after 4/5 pm (I have class till 7pm le!).

The people here (locals) are quite friendly and polite but there are some quite racists also. Come on, you can tell by the look in the eyes and the way they speak. But like I care?

Oh, did I mention anything about my class? It is starting on March 9, 2009! Oh-My-God! March 9th! If only I knew earlier, I won't be flying here so early. Sigh, nevermind. I'm here earlier for the orientation tomorrow. It better be a worthy orientation to be attended.

A for Adelaide

A new life has begun,
A new chapter is being written,
A new experience is awaiting for me

All in the A, Australia's Adelaide.

All in all, I will never be proud (arrogant) when I am back to Malaysia. I will never change. Even if I do, it is for good but definitely not my attitude.
